Packaging Information

Whilst carriers take every care when transporting parcels, it is important that the goods are packaged carefully and adequately for the journey.

If you are using our carrier service, the inclusive insurance cover is only applicable if the item is packaged correctly.

The advice we give is: -

  • Notebook computers should be placed in a corrugated (double skin), cardboard box
  • Allow a minimum of 10cm around the notebook for padding
  • Padding can be bubble wrap, polystyrene chips or similar
  • The box should be securely sealed with packing tape.
  • The call reference number (RAN) should be clearly displayed on the outside.
  • Ancillary parts, e.g. AC adapter, manuals etc are not required unless specifically requested.

Topaz can provide packaging at a seperate cost of £10 + VAT.

The secure packing carton has been designed to protect your equipment during transit and includes instructions when delivered.

Warranty Repairs

TOPAZ will use its best efforts to repair your faulty laptop within 3 business days of the day following its receipt, subject to parts availability. This is an enhancement to the normal Toshiba warranty terms and conditions. Collect & Return (inc packaging) within mainland UK is included free of charge.


Non-Warranty Repairs

TOPAZ will promptly repair your laptop at competitive rates, subject to parts availability.


If required, TOPAZ can arrange collection from any mainland UK location. Same day collection if requested before 12 noon. There is a nominal fee for this service



We will fit memory, wireless network or any other hardware upgrade that you require, FREE OF LABOUR CHARGE whilst your laptop is in for repair, subject to parts availability.


We will keep you informed of the repair status at all times.
